Young Onset Dementia: Epidemiology, Clinical Symptoms, Family Burden, Support and Outcome.

The report on our three year investigation into the clinical features, care and health economics of dementia in people under the age of 65 years has now been published. The primary intention of the report is to provide a detailed scientific report, both of the diseases that cause dementia in this population and on care for patients and families in this situation. The topics covered include a substantial literature review, prevalence data based on a geographically defined population of 500,000 people, the clinical & behavioural features, caregiver burden and health economic data in the cases identified by the study.
