The Canadian Aging and Caregiving Resource Guide was conceived and created by The Caregiver Consortium, a partnership between Caregiver Network Inc. and Quasarts Inc.
The guide contains listings for Federal, Provincial and support agencies of interest to seniors and caregivers. You will also find a selection of books, magazines, pamphlets, videos and Internet Web sites we feel are of value to you. The resource guide was published in February 1998 and distributed to viewers of the TV series Caregiving with June Callwood. The guide was updated in September, 1999.
A well-known author and broadcaster, June Callwood has been active in focusing attention on such issues as education, teen pregnancy, breast cancer, women's rights, AIDS, native rights and palliative care. In 1992, she became the national spokesperson for the Canadian Coalition on Medication Use and the Elderly.
Not only does Dr Wolkoff have a private psychiatric practice, but he has also dedicated his medical career to establishing a better understanding of mental health issues both in the scientific community and in the community at large. His syndicated column, Your Mind, appears weekly in the Toronto Star.
Printing the Resource Guide
The Caregiver Network web site uses frames. Depending on which web browser you are using you may not be able to correctly print the Resource Guide. If you have problems printing you can click here to open the Resource Guide in a new window, without frames, for easier printing.
